Promotor - Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (‘RAS’) (ABN 69 793 644 351) of 1 Showground Road, Sydney Olympic Park, NSW 2127.
Promotion Period - 1.00PM AEST, 7 April 2025 to 4.59PM AEST, 10 April 2025.
Prize Draw - 9.00AM AEST, 11 April 2025.
1. STANDARD TERMS
- Information on how to enter the competition and prize details form part of these Terms and Conditions of entry. This may be amended or varied from time to time by the Promoter. By entering the Promotion, the Entrant is deemed to have accepted the below terms and conditions.
- These terms and conditions are governed and will be construed under the laws of New South Wales, and the Entrant agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
- The Promotor bears all responsibility for the creation, run and draw of the Promotion.
2. WHO CAN ENTER
- Entry is open to any resident of New South Wales over the age of 18 years.
- If you are between the ages of 13 and 17 (inclusive), your Parental Guardian will be required to provide their contact number to the Promotor in order to provide consent to obtaining and publishing your video on the Promotor’s social media platforms. - Entry into the Competition is not open to employees and their families, officials and/or councillors of the Promotor, their associated agencies and companies. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether by natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
3. HOW TO ENTER
- Entrants must post a video of their best animal impersonation on Instagram, Facebook or TikTok using the hashtag #BestAnimalImpression. Entrants must tag the official @SydneyRoyalEasterShow account in their post.
- Entrants must ensure their account is visible on public so that the Promoter can view the submission.
- The video must be posted to the Entrants “feed” so the Promotor can view the entry at any time. No ‘”stories” will be accepted as a valid entry.
- Each entry must be a unique animal impersonation.
- The entrant may submit multiple entries, but each must be a different impersonation.
4. SELECTION OF WINNERS
- The time of entry will, in each case, be the receipted time that a post is sent on the #bestanimalimpression hashtag. Entries will be deemed to be received at the time they are recorded as being received and fully registered by the Promotor, not at the time they were sent by the Entrant.
- The Winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received and the decision is final.
- The Promoters, their agents, affiliates or representatives will not be liable for any lost, late or misdirected entries.
- The Winner will be notified via the comment section and PM on either social media platform (Facebook, Instagram or TikTok), that the entrant submitted a successful entry. The Winner agrees to have their name/username posted on the Sydney Royal Easter Show Instagram, Facebook and TikTok Pages (http://www.facebook.com/eastershow) (https://www.instagram.com/sydneyroyal_eastershow/) (https://www.tiktok.com/@sydneyroyaleastershow).
- If there is a dispute as to the identity of the Winner, the Promotor reserves the right, to determine the identity of the Winner.
- The prize package is non-transferable, refundable or redeemable for cash.
- The Promotor has the right to terminate the prize draw at any time during the period.
5. PRIZE AND SELECTION OF WINNERS
- The drawing of the prize will take place on 9.00AM AEST, 11 April 2025 at Level 1, RAS Admin Building. Drawing will be conducted by the RAS Marketing Manager, G Barr and witnessed by the RAS Digital Marketing Assistant, O Mann.
- All prize packages, including tickets, must be collected from the RAS Commercial Services Centre, 1 Showground Rd, Sydney Olympic Park, at a time specified by the Promoter.
- The Promotor will not be liable for prize packages not received by the Winner due to being stolen, lost in transit, failed to be accepted upon delivery by the Winner or as a result of any error in details provided by the Entrant.
- There will be one (1) prize Winners selected from all valid entries. Entries will be selected based valid entry requirements as stated in clause 3. A total of one (1) prize package is available to give away. Each individual prize package includes the following:
- Two (2) Complimentary Family Passes to the 2025 Sydney Royal Easter Show, (including 8 single-day entry tickets) valued at $276.00. Each ticket is valid for use between Friday 11 April 2025 – Tuesday 22 April 2025.
- Total value of each prize package is approximately $276.00.
- In the event that the prize is unavailable, the Promotor reserves the right to substitute the prize item with that of equal value.
- The Winner will be invited to participate in a social interview at the Sydney Royal Easter Show to recreate their winning animal impersonation live. The date of attendance to the Show will be agreed upon by the Winner and the Promotor.
- The Promoter reserves the right to request Winners to provide proof of identity/proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address, in order to claim the prize. In the event that a Winner cannot provide suitable proof, the prize will be forfeited in whole and no substitute will be offered.
- The Winners will be subject to, and must abide by the terms and conditions of any third parties, including but not limited to the venues the Winners will attend. Any breach of such terms and conditions may affect the ability to receive benefits of the prize. In that case, such benefits will be forfeited.
6. GENERAL
- The Promotor shall have no liability for any expenses incurred by entrants when entering the competition. The prize does not include costs associated with accommodation, spending money or travel.
- In participating in the prizes, the Winners agree to participate and co-operate as required in all footage relating to the Promotion, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The Winners grant the Promoters a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the Winner will not be entitled to any compensation whatsoever for such use.
7. PRIVACY
- Information obtained via this Promotion, including the Entrant’s name/username, e-mail and address may be used for this purpose and any associated activity, such as research for future promotions, any Promotor media activities, historical archival and museum purposes, without the payment of any further fee or compensation. The Entrants details will be handled in accordance with the RAS Privacy Policy located at https://www.rasnsw.com.au/.
8. RESERVATION OF PROMOTORS RIGHTS
- The Promoters shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by the entrant or for any of the equipment or programming associated with, or utilised in this Promotion, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this Promotion, including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
- If for any reason, this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition subject to any written directions given under NSW Legislation.
- The Promotor is not liable for any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, in connection with the arrangement for supply of the goods by any person to the Winner. This clause does not affect, and is not intended to affect, any rights a consumer might have, which are not able to be excluded under applicable Australian consumer protection laws.
- The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of the Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements. The Promotor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of entry, or who has, in the opinion of the Promoter, engaged in conduct in entering the promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the promotion and/or Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a Winner if the Promoter becomes aware that the Winner and/or the Winner’s entry is of a type described in this clause.
- The Promoters reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter have reason to believe has breached any of these conditions or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. The Promoters’ legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
9. INSTAGRAM/FACEBOOK TERMS
- The Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Instagram, Facebook or TikTok (https://www.instagram.com/), (https://www.facebook.com/) and (https://www.tiktok.com/en/) and it’s related mobile application(s).
- The Entrant agrees that it releases Instagram, Facebook and TikTok from any and all liability with the Promotion.
