Riverina Fresh Working Dairy

Where: Working Dairy
Most dairy cows in Australia are milked twice a day, giving us the milk we enjoy on our cereal, in our coffees, milkshakes and even for our ice cream and cheese.

Most dairy cows in Australia are milked twice a day, giving us the milk we enjoy on our cereal, in our coffees, milkshakes and even for our ice cream and cheese. The Riverina Fresh Working Dairy is an eye-opening opportunity to see exactly how a modern dairy works, with state-of-the-art equipment and technology helping farmers look after their cows and provide us with nutritious, high quality fresh milk. Proudly sponsored by 100% Australian owned Riverina Fresh, who have been supplying fresh milk and dairy to Australians from Wagga Wagga NSW since 1922. You will hear from some of their farmers and other experts about the complexity, challenges and rewards of dairy farming and get a great insight into where our food comes from. Australian dairy cows produce approximately 8 million litres of milk each year and 14,000 litres of this is milked at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
