At the 2020 Show 198 conferees will take one of the biggest steps of their lives and receive Australian Citizenship, taking a pledge and oath to officially call Australia home.
The ceremony, open for all Showgoers to witness, is incredibly moving and serves as a reminder to all of us how blessed we are to live in the land Down Under.
RAS Patron, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC has been invited to act as Presiding Officer, alongside RAS President Robert Ryan OAM and government representatives.
As the country comes to the city during the Show, it is incredibly appropriate for 198 conferees to repeat their pledge in front of friends and family and become our newest citizens. And why 198? It’s the number of years the RAS has existed.
