CWA Engaging Baradine Community

This project conforms to the priorities of the CWA of NSW to 'improve conditions and welfare of all women and families especially in country areas and to support schemes which enhance the value of country living, especially health and educational facilities.'

The project is to purchase a portable gazebo, barbeque and 'stretch' outdoor movie screen for the purpose of bringing together community and district rural residents at events that share information, offer social inclusion and provide physical and mental health education in a friendly and fun way.

The project seeks to fill a gap in the provision of government agency services locally by helping to support rural people living in an isolated, disadvantaged district, who are battling economic hardship and associated physical and mental health issues, by offering events and entertaining activities in an informal setting that can help to enhance farmer resilience and strengthen community connection.
