The Royal Agricultural Society (RAS) of NSW Careers in Agriculture Seminar series brings together employers, industry groups, educational institutions and government agencies, to promote the range of tertiary pathways and career opportunities available within Australia’s vibrant agricultural industry.

The 2013 Sydney Royal Easter Show falls during the first school term, with 20,000 school students expected to pass through the Show gates over the two weeks. Held over four days, the Careers Seminars provide a unique opportunity to target a widespread audience of secondary school students from the greater Sydney region and throughout rural New South Wales.

The RAS Youth Group have successfully delivered four consecutive Careers in Agriculture Expos and will embark on a new direction at the 2013 Show. This year a focus on the seminar format will allow presenters to speak directly with their target audience, incorporating more Q&A opportunities for students, teachers, careers advisors and parents. The Careers in Agriculture Seminars will be a highlight of the 2013 Secondary Schools program, forming an integral part of any excursion to the Show.
