Poultry Competitions have been an integral part of the Sydney Royal Easter Show since at least 1858 and the Poultry & Pigeon section continues to inspire and delight, especially the young brigade, who get to admire these glamorous birds at close quarters.

• Poultry do not have any teeth.
• Although chickens have wings they are not really able to fly.
• Poultry is the second most widely eaten meat in the world, accounting for about 30 per cent of meat production worldwide.
