| Every night in the Commonwealth Bank Arena - prepare to be captivated by the never before seen futuristic production Darcy’s Quest. This year the Sydney Royal Easter Show has assembled an internationally acclaimed team of entertainment producers including La Fura Dels Baus, CCTAR and Guimarães Capital Europeia da Cultura. The team have scripted a thrilling, dynamic show that combines energy, drama and a fast-paced story. The one-hour production is a spectacular feast for the senses, featuring international acts never seen before in Australia, all the way from Spain and the UK. The audience will be taken on a journey of discovery through the futuristic world that exists in Darcy’s dream – a terrifying reality where animals are extinct. Watch the sky ignite as Darcy – the young girl – transforms in her dream-like state to become the larger than life, chromium heroine who duals with monster cast iron reptiles, flying mythical daredevils and challenges the giants of steel and lightning in her quest to banish the forces of darkness and return animals to the land. Showcasing dazzling pyrotechnics, breathtaking special effects and an original music score, Darcy’s Quest will leave the audience mesmerised. We need your help and your funky dance moves!
Darcy, the star of the new evening entertainment at this year’s Show, lives in a dark world where animals no longer exist. Learn this fun dance and use your rhythm and jive to help Darcy return animals to the land every night of the Show. The routine is fun, easy to learn and will be played twice each night before Darcy’s Quest so you can brush up on your moves.
