Animals are the heart and soul of the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Each year, there are around 25,000 animals on site, ranging from alpacas, cattle, horses, dogs, pigs, goats, plus many more.
Whether they have been entered into a Sydney Royal competition, or are part of one of the many demonstrations and displays, you’ll be sure to see all the animals at their finest.
The best way to see all the animal highlights at the Show is to follow the blue paw prints of the Animal Walk that will lead you on a journey through all the animal pavilions. You can admire award-winning animals on display, learn about breeds and watch displays such as pig washing and sheep shearing.
The popular Farmyard Nursery is the perfect place for the young – and young at heart – to get up close and pat some friendly farm animals including calves, baby goats and chickens. This is a unique and fun opportunity for children to learn about animals in a safe environment.
When you come into contact with farm animals at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, just remember two simple rules: take care of the animals and take care of yourself. To download our fact sheet, click here.
