Here are our top picks for a more cultured approach to the Dome:

The District Exhibits Competition Daily 9.00am – 7.30pm (8.30pm on public holiday weekend)

The iconic feature of the Show, with four distinct districts across NSW each gathering the very best produce from their region to display in their own unique, creative, and elaborate design.

The displays include everything from apples, pumpkins, and peas, to grains, wool, and wine, with every item on display included in the judging. Experts in their field come from across NSW to participate in the judging process, which includes both a prize for best display, and for best quality produce – often considered ultimate bragging rights! There is also the highly regarded ‘People’s Choice Award’, as judged by Showgoers.

Get Fish Prawn & Oyster Bar and Tyrrell’s Wine Bar

Settle in at Get Fish Prawn & Oyster Bar while sipping some of Australia’s finest vintages from award wining Tyrrell’s Wines. Freshly caught prawns and oysters are delivered daily so you can experience quality Australian produce and the taste of luxury. Heritage Pavilion

Guided  Heritage Tours Daily 11.00am

The RAS Heritage Centre maintains the historical collection of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, and so much more. It is a unique collection of documents, books, photographs, paintings and trophies that provide insight into the history of Australia as a nation and the development of agriculture since the early days of European settlement.

In addition to historical Australiana records, the Heritage Centre also maintains a vast collection of Easter Show records, prizes, perpetual trophies, oral histories and the over 100-year-old calech (horse drawn carriage) that the Royal Family have used in their several visits over the decades.

Theme of the 2024 Heritage Centre Display: From machinery to show bags, amazing appliances to wearable wool and everything in between, the Sydney Royal has always been the shoppers’ Show. This year we commemorate 100 years since Anthony Hordern & Sons opened a grand flagship store at the Showground in 1924, and today’s Heritage Pavilion will be featuring some of the Show’s unique shopping trends through the 20th century.
