The Sunday Telegraph Official Preview Magazine
The Sunday Telegraph Official Preview Magazine is available free in The Sunday Telegraph on Sunday 16 March. The Preview Magazine includes entertainment and agricultural competition highlights, Showbag listings and lots more you need to know about the 2008 Show.
Showguide & Discount Dollars
The 2008 Showguide contains detailed information about competitions, interactive experiences and entertainment, including daily timetables. There is a comprehensive list of the Showbags and their contents, plus essential Show information, all available for $6 at the Show gates.
Discount Dollars are free when you purchase your Showguide and include
over $2,000 worth of discounts from a variety of locations around the grounds.
ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
Accessibility Needs
Special viewing areas are available in the NAB Arena, The Footy Show
Woodchop Stadium, the Big Top Amphitheatre and the Dog Judging Lawns.
Disabled toilets can be found across the grounds. Refer to the Showmap.
Wheelchair, Scooter & Stroller Hire
Motorised scooters, wheelchairs and strollers will be available for hire to the
general public through Lifehealthcare. Contact Lifehealthcare on
8746 0421
to pre-book scooters.There will be 40 wheelchairs, 60 strollers and 20 scooters
available for hire each day of the Show. Equipment for hire will be fully charged
and chargers will also be available. Payments can be made via Cash, EFTPOS
and Credit
Card.
Recharge motorised wheelchairs at:
- Mackay Pavilion (Horse), Gwyder Street, behind Schmidt Arena
- Howie Complex (Dog Pavilion), corner of Shoalhaven Street and Riverina Avenue
- Woolworths Fresh Food Dome, foyer entry on Showground Road,
near the public telephones
- Hall 3, Arts Pavilion, in the foyer off Riverina Avenue
- Hall 4, Showbag Pavilion, in the foyer off Riverina Avenue
- Southee Complex, entry to Flower & Garden Pavilion off Grand Parade
- In the foyer between Fashion & Style Pavilion and Poultry & Sheep Pavilion
- NAB Arena, Concourse Level, Vincent Fairfax Stand
Baby Feeding and Changing Facility
Baby change and feeding facilities are located in the foyer of the Woolworths
Fresh Food Dome, open daily 9.30am to 8.30pm.
Banking Facilities
ATMs are located across the Showground in various locations.
Become a RAS Member
Become a RAS Member and receive a range of benefits including free entry to
the Show. Enquire during the Show, at the Members’ Services Centre in the
Members’ Stand, NAB Arena or contact the RAS Membership Office on
02 9704 1144.
Information Booth supported by Radio 2GB
- There are four Information Booths located in the Showground. The
main Information Booth is located on the corner of Grand Parade
and Showground Road, open from 9am to 9pm
- Three additional booths are located across the Showground in
various locations.
Limited Seating Capacity
Please note that entry into the Showground does not guarantee entry into any
specific event at the 2008 Sydney Royal Easter Show including the NAB Arena,
The Footy Show Woodchop Stadium, Schmidt Arena and Big Top Amphitheatre.
Reserved seating is not available, with entry to these venues on a first in, best
dressed basis. For safety reasons, patrons will not be permitted entry once the
venue capacity is reached.
Please plan to arrive early to the venue to avoid disappointment.
Lockers
Self-service lockers are available from 9am to 10pm. The cost of these are:
- $2 for self-serve lockers (plus $2 each time the lockers are opened)
- All day small lockers: $5 plus minimum $2 key deposit
- All day large lockers: $7 plus minimum $2 key deposit

Woolworths Fresh Food Dome (locker access until 8:30pm)
- Showground Road, next to RAS Administration Building
- Each side of The Footy Show Woodchop Stadium
- Riverina Ave, beside the Dog Pavilion
Lost Person’s Centre
The Lost Person’s Centre is located in the Sydney Royal Flower & Garden
Pavilion on Grand Parade and is open from 9.30am to 9.30pm.

Public telephones are located in the following areas:
- Hall 4, Showbag Hall (north)
- Horse Superintendent’s Office
- Olympic Park Station
- Davidson Plaza
- NAB Arena between the Members’ and Council Stands
Recycling
You can contribute to a cleaner and more environmentally friendly Sydney
Royal Easter Show by using the recycling stations around the grounds.

ShowSafe
As you make your way around the Showground, take care to observe and
follow all signage and instructions you may be given. Remember there are
large animals, vehicles, crowds and temporary structures across the
Showground, so please take special care at all times to protect yourself and
others against any loss or injury. Conditions of Entry to Sydney Showground
are displayed at information points around the Showground.

- Behind Hall 4a, Showbag Pavilion
Please note there is no smoking indoors or in the NAB Arena, The Footy Show
Woodchop Stadium or the Schmidt Arena seating areas.
Taxis
Taxis are available from Herb Elliot Ave, outside the Heritage Centre. There are toilets available at this point and a taxi commissionaire will operate. The nearest entry to the show is the Boulevard South.

The last bus departs Sydney Olympic Park at 11pm. Call 131 500 or visit www.131500.com.au closer to the Show for all train, bus and ferry transport information.

The Sydney Royal Easter Show is listed as a GreenEvent by the Environmental
Protection Authority.
