Young or old, fearless or a tad scared, there was something for everyone in the way of rides and fun at the 2008 Show. Boasting Australia’s largest Carnival with 60 spectacular rides and 57 games to challenge and delight Showgoers of all ages.
The Carnival was the place for the whole family, offering breathtaking rides and dynamic attractions. Even the most seasoned adrenaline junkie had their limits tested with thrilling rides and mind-blowing action. The Sky Walker was a new addition to the Show, spinning 24 metres high while revolving around three different axes. Daring Showgoers were in for a treat as they were suspended in their seats while their feet dangled from mid-air.
The Nestle Peters Ice Cream Kids Carnival served up a world of fun, entertainment and excitement for kids. Rides, toys, gifts, smiles, laughter and of course ice cream were plentiful. The new Wacky Worm Family Coaster proved to be popular, as did old favourites including the Cup and Saucer and the Carousel.
Thrill seekers and Carnival fanatics were also invited to sign up to the Xtreme Rider Club this year. Designed for serious ride goers, the Xtreme Rider Club offered great deals for people who wanted to spend lots of time on the biggest and best collection of rides in Australia.
With nearly 300 Showbags available this year, Showgoers were spoilt for choice.
High School Musical was the favourite Showbag with more than 1.5 million bags
dancing out of the Showbag Hall!
