Asi Es Colombia Folkloric
First established in 1976, with the purpose of demonstrating and sharing with the Australian public, through music and dance, the culture and traditions of Colombia. At the same time the Group aims to promote Colombia as the beautiful and welcoming country it is.
Chinese Dancing School of Sydney - Lion Dancers
An expolsive lion performance with percussion, colourful costumes and graceful movement. Chinese Dancing School of Sydney is the first of its kind and was established in 1994.
Irish Dancing
This display of Irish dancing will have you tapping your toes. This talented
troupe make it easy to see why this dancing style continues to grow in
popularity all around the world.
Lajkonik Polish Ensemble
Lajkonik Polish Song and Dance Ensemble is a community group, based in
South Western Sydney. Lajkonik participates regularly in local multicultural
festivals, fundraisers, weddings and special events.
Los Carmonas
Flamenco originated in the south of Spain, characterised by fire, passion, dramatic dance and distinctive guitar. Each performance draws an admiring crowd and sometimes even inspiring audience members to get up and join in the fun!
Ola Brazil
Olá Brazil is an extravagant show experience, which takes the audience on a
dazzling and unforgettable journey though Brazil.
Ritmo Latino
Hotbeat Productions presents Ritmo Latino's Brazilian Rio Carnaval Show,
filled with colour, excitement and magic. Incorporating the energetic and
sensual Samba, performed in beautiful feathered costumes from Rio.
There is also martial arts, acrobatics and lively drumming and much more!
Sangre Gitana Flamenco
Sangre Gitana Dance Company commenced in 2000, choreographed and
directed by one of Sydney’s most recognised flamenco dancers, Jesica Varela.
This Sydney-based Spanish dance group specialises in performing the art of
traditional and contemporary Flamenco dance.
Smoke ceremony
A smoking ceremony is an ancient custom among Indigenous Australians that
involves smoldering various native plants to produce smoke, which they believe
has cleansing properties and the ability to ward off bad spirits.
Sydney Irish Ceili Dancers
This group is in its 50th year and still retains its prime objective of teaching,
dancing and promoting the traditional dances of Ireland. Margaret and Bill
conduct workshops in various cities and the group performs at festivals around
New South Wales and Canberra each year. The Group also performs at
corporate events, community events, weddings, and various other venues.
Thullii Dreaming
This traditional Aboriginal dance and music will amaze you, with its unique style
and technique.
Tierra Colombiana
Tierra Colombiana is a non-profit organisation with the aim to promote, preserve,
and showcase the richness of Colombia’s folklore and culture through traditional
and contemporary rhythms. Some of the dances performed include Cumbia, San Juanero, Bambuco, Gaita, Joropo, Merenge , Mambo, Cumbia Remix and Salsa.
Zahrava Ukrainian Dance Ensemble
The ensemble strives to instil young Ukrainian-Australians with a love and
knowledge of Ukrainian folk dance and music traditions. Zahrava has toured
around Australia’scapital cities and country NSW, participated in various festivals, music video clips, Chinese New Year celebrations and many community events.
