Activities for Kids

The Sydney Royal Easter Show was again the place to be this year for kids of all ages.

The ABC On the Road Show proved popular with daily appearances by ABC TV and radio stars, with giveaways and freebies galore! ABC Kids’ Concerts were performed to large audiences, with guests including the Teddies from Bananas in Pyjamas and Fifi and the Flowertots.

The Big Top Amphitheatre came alive each day with the giggles and cheers of young Showgoers to performances such as the Barbie™ Listen to Your Heart Show, the Wild Aussies Children’s Show and the energetic ActiveKidZ performances. Dora the Explorer came to life each day in The VB Shed, as did Ollie, who helped the young audiences count and recite the alphabet. Who could forget the Pied Piper Duck Shows, which had kids young and old grinning from ear to ear.

A hit for the kids was also the Dairy Farmers Farmyard Nursery, which allowed children to get up close and personal with animals they may have never seen before. This interactive environment was also echoed at the Food Farm, where kids learnt all about where their food really comes from and how it gets from the farm to their dinner plates.

The last day of the 2008 Show was Kids’ Day, with smiles and laughter a plenty,
proving that the Sydney Royal Easter Show is a fun place for the whole family.
