This iconic event has been taking place at the Show since 1907. Watch as the best of the best in Australian agriculture make their way around Spotless Stadium in a spectacular procession.

The Grand Parade is an opportunity to pay silent homage to Sydney Royal Competition winners including animals, producers, champion woodchoppers, and future community leaders in a celebration of Australian agriculture. Why silent? The four-legged participants are more used to the serene peace and quiet of life on the farm, so give them a friendly wave and hold the applause until after they have left the stadium!

The Sydney Royal Easter Show Grand Parade is believed to be the first of its kind in the world and has been copied by every major agricultural show in Australia. The Grand Parade is the defining moment of the Australian agricultural show.

Find out which Rural Achievers have the gift of the gab and who will take home the title of 2018 The Land Sydney Royal Showgirl at this prestigious awards ceremony.

The RAS Rural Achiever Award and The Land Sydney Royal Showgirl Competition are state-wide leadership programs run by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW to recognise future leaders.

The Rural Achiever Award aims to acknowledge the achievements of young people working hard to make a significant contribution to their local community and to rural Australia. A public speaking showcase at the Sydney Royal Easter Show gives each of the eight finalists the opportunity to demonstrate their eloquence and oratory skills, voicing their opinion on a current issue affecting Australia's agricultural industry.

The first Showgirl competition was held in 1962 and attracted women interested in strengthening links with local organisations. Today, contestants are young rural women with purpose and ambition who have competed in their local Show Society and won a zone final to end up at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. At the Show they face a panel of three judges and a series of questions, all in front of a live audience. The winning Showgirl becomes an ambassador for rural NSW, the agricultural show movement as a whole, and the 2019 Sydney Royal Easter Show.
