The Judges always look for trueness to type and breed.  In Boars, they look for suitability for breeding stock and in Sows they judge on ability to carry strong litters.

As you wander through the pavilion, the old established breeds such as Berkshire, Tamworths and Wessex Saddlebacks are definitely worth a look.

The competition will again include the Schools Commercial Pig Competition providing students the opportunity to trial the growing of commercial pigs.

Judging these competitions will take place:

  • Stud Pigs: 24 March from 8.30am
