The Food Farm

The Food Farm is back to entertain and educate in 2008.

With the theme, ‘Where does our Food come from’, interactive displays
and demonstrations trace the production of our meat, fruit, vegetables,
grains, dairy and eggs from the farm to the table.

There are activities galore at the Food Farm (Showmap ref. F4) with live
animals
, celebrity chefs, cooking demonstrations, grains to touch and
feel
and butchers showing off their skills and fabulous meat products.

See how pies are made at the Petey Pie Bakery, then snap one up
straight from the oven! It's freshness at its best.

Make sure you don’t miss the action packed fun of the sausage making
demonstration
or our fun and interactive talks about sheep and cattle
production.

You can also enter the children’s egg painting competition or the meat
pie decorating competition.

Don’t forget to visit the Dairy Farmers Working Dairy right next door to
see where milk comes from, and the Dairy Farmers Farmyard Nursery
too. The Food Farm is open everyday of the Show from 10am.
