The Sydney Royal Easter Show is one of the oldest, most prestigious and highly respected events of its kind in the world, offering a uniquely Australian experience to both national and international visitors. In recent years the Show has enjoyed success both at home and abroad, taking out a number of national tourism and international marketing awards.  This has helped to cement the Show’s status as a truly one-of-a-kind, world class event. 

In 2006, the Sydney Royal Easter Show won the prestigious NSW Tourism Award in the Major Festival and Event category, continuing on to receive the overall Australian
Tourism Award for 2006. Again in 2007, the Show took
out the NSW Tourism Award, making it a finalist in the
Australian Tourism Award. Watch this space to find out if the

The RAS Volunteer Program was awarded runner-up
honours in the 2007 NAB Volunteer Awards and the 2007
Sydney Royal Easter Show website won a Platinum Web
Design Award from the Australian Web Designers Network,
plus a Communications Award for Outstanding Website from
the International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE).

The Show has also cemented its reputation as having the
best live sports production in Australia.  The NAB Arena
spectacular ‘Xtreme Korruption’ was awarded runner-up for
best sports show at the International IAAPA Big “E” awards
in Florida, USA.
