Upper Hunter Riding for the Disabled Centre NSW
Upper Hunter Riding for the Disabled Centre NSW has been serving the local community since 1991. RDA is a registered charity run entirely by volunteers.
The organisation aims to encourage, promote and provide therapy, sport, recreation, training and safety programs for persons with a disability through riding, driving and other horse-related activities.
Funds raised at the 2018 Charity Brunch will go towards purchasing a 100,000-litre water tank and suitable firefighter pump for the dressage arena at the Upper Hunter Riding for the Disabled Centre. This would supply water to riders, volunteers and horses, and also serve as a valuable asset in case of fire on the property. The new water supply and pump would enable the surface of the sand arena to be watered, thus minimising dust and allowing more riders with a disability to access the programs offered.
